Layout editor

Insert/Edit Text

Insert or edit some text in your layout.

You can insert multiple lines of text, but the text is always displayed in one font, one font size, appears either as normal, or as bold and/or italics, and it is linked to one specific position in the layout.

Tip:

When you wish to obtain multiple texts, for instance the names or values of all points, segments or polygons in a certain map, or when you wish to store multiple texts using multiple fonts, multiple font sizes, different formatting and when text should be linked to multiple positions within a map view, it is advised to create an Annotation Text object. An Annotation Text object differs from Text.

Dialog box options:

You can create multiple lines of texts by using the Enter key or the Shift+Enter keys in this text box.

You can simulate a Tab by using the Ctrl+Tab keys in this text box.
