Edit the user-defined representation of a map that is currently displayed in the map window.
- For maps using a class domain, a group domain, or a picture domain, the Representation Class editor is opened. In the representation class editor, the colors of classes in the domain can be edited, as well as patterns assigned to polygons, line widths assigned to segments and symbols assigned to points.
- For maps using a value domain or the image domain, the Representation Value/Gradual editor is opened. In the representation Value/Gradual editor, the colors of boundary values can be edited, new boundary values can be inserted, and the coloring in between boundary values can be arranged.
This option is only available if you selected a representation in the Display Options dialog box of this layer.
This option is never available for maps using an ID domain, or the Bit, a Bool, the Color, the ColorCmp domain and for point maps using a value domain. This option is also not available for value maps that are currently displayed with one of the standard (=read-only) gradual representations, or in general when a representation is marked read-only.
Tips:
- If you do not succeed to change the colors of a map through the Edit menu, Edit Representation command, use the Layers menu, and select the Display Options command instead.
- For point maps or for maps using an ID domain, the Display Options dialog box allows you to arrange colors, etc.
- For other maps, the Display Options dialog box contains options to select other existing representations or to create a new representation by clicking the little create button.
- To edit a representation, you can also double-click the word 'Legend' of a layer in the Layer Management pane in a map window, or double-click a representation in a Catalog.
